Right now BKP is in the throws of boom or bust.
Which is the predominant force.
The negative force says that BKP is stuffed because they have huge costs in their African interests and they have to get out quickly to avoid further costs and therefore the original dream has gone. Therefore the sellers are fleeing.
The positive force says OK we have known about the negitive force for some time and the company has changed tack and are going to try and get some cash flow happening in Columbia, so we don't go bust.
Today the negative force is winning. BUT gamblers like me see this as an opportunity not doom and gloom.
Not saying I am right but with their current drilling program and todays announcement that hydrocarbons are present in Mugello 1, maybe this is an oppuntunity.
