last i checked polyheal needs to be applied daily (vitrogro weekly) and this, in my view, is their Achilles heal. the process of changing a wound dressing is very painful and chronic wound patients tend to not apply their daily medication to avoid the pain, thus with the medication not being applied as prescribed it fails. treatment of pain has always been considered key to chronic wound management.
there is some evidence to support that vitrogro reduces pain in the wound quickly though this has not been formally documented yet. but another key plus for us is that vitrogro only needs to be applied once a week. thats at worst one painful change of dressing a week as opposed to 7 for polyheal.
vitrogro has these advantages over polyheal before we even look into the details of the trials for both. i dont see polyheal as a risk on this basis.
