    If you can't provide some fundamentals to support your argument then I think we are all wasting our time. I assume you realise QBE is an insurance company?

    If you think the value of QBE's investments are going to drop, I'd refer you to p06 of the December report which outlines (in point 11) a breakdown. As you will see, of the $23bn invested, $16.3bn is in short term money, $3.6bn in Govt bonds and so on. QBE have only $1,656m in equities and as I posted before have hedge a large part of this last year. There is a good chance that values will have dropped in the last 6 months, but I doubt it will be anywhere near the magnitude you say. As far as derivative exposure is concerned, you will see on p06 (note 12) that the company only has $8m in exposure through some ETOs.

    If you think revenue is going to drop as a result of global slowdown then you are probably right, but not enough to take the company to the wall.

    The greatest risks to QBE are the same as they have always been: an increase in claims due to one or more major cats or series of smaller events.
