Yes sabine, I do eat chillis and garlic everyday and have done for 40+years, fresh tumeric and peppercorns are a much more recent addition to my daily boost. Back in the early '80's myself and mate used to do geological exploration in the rainforests of western Tassie. Basically jump out of a chopper and sample creeks for up to 7 days at a stretch then picked up at a predetermined location. Cold and wet all the time but we lived on elephant/giant russian garlic and never got sick - we had kilos of the stuff from a farm near my property at Mole Creek.
