Have you actually listened to the speech or are you taken by the "performance"?

Nothing in her quotes of Abbott relate to misogyny - she misused the word. The word is extremely offensive. It not only insults Abbott but all women who are close to him.

Most of the actual quotes from Abbott were very old, not directed at her, taken completely out of context (which matters, particularly the abortion one) and did not reflect sexism let alone misogyny.

Have you researched the dates, circumstances and context of, for instance. her quotes from the obscure Stavros or the reference to abortion? I suggest you do.

A number of her examples had nothing to do with Abbott - the Jones comments and the posters for instance.

And finally, she made the comments in opposing a motion to reject Slipper. It was the completely wrong time for her to do so. She debased parliament and overplayed her hand with unsubstantiated accusations.

The adulation from uninformed people who have no idea of whether the examples are real or imaginary/valid just shows how much ignorance there is. People who claim she's speaking for all women should find REAL examples of sexism and misogyny, not these half baked observations about a political opponent. It's disgusting.
