Given that it's identical copy cat price movement across only the banks it appears that arrangements were made off screen to lift the clamps that have been applied for the past 5 weeks. A matter of re-positioning post sell-off rather than anything to do with genuine market sentiment. Frankly I think the funds got tired of being at the mercy of the market-makers sic so have stopped selling to create funds at the low prices and will get a better return on the stock they need to sell at higher prices.
