Sorry civil libertarians, your sacred anonymity horse has long bolted.

Medicare cards, drivers licenses and even cell phone numbers identify you. Everything is cross referenced across databases, only the lucky few who have worked hard since before the Medicare card to stay "off grid" can claim to be semi-anonymous.

To pretend otherwise is simply delusional. Better to accept the inevitable and then ensure that everyone in this country plays by the same rules.
