I think you answer your own argument ...
"BNL management has been underpaid actually. But, they need to explain the recent salary raises in comparative terms to other strong managed businesses of similar nature and sector/size."
My understanding is that a couple of directors were working on a 'retainer' basis ($50-60k pa from memory) ... now they are being paid market rates ... presumably to keep them on board ... again from memory, this was explained in the announcement made at the time.
Seems like a pretty normal picture. I see nothing wrong here ...
... but of course if you do, you are always free to cash out your paper profit to someone happy to buy-in at current market ... there appears to be no shortage of buyers between -0.01 and -0.04. Last time i looked, buyers in that range outnumbered sellers about 5 or 6 to 1.
Personally, i plan to hold and would be very happy to see negative and grumpy folk take their profit and hand their shares over to new buyers who would then put a 'floor' under the SP at current levels.
