They spook easily. Even though this provides opportunity it is at the expense of sp value overall.
If the day traders could discipline themselves a bit further and keep a core long term parcel. Which is difficult to do at first. But if you take the time to note your "sell at the top ratio" compared to"sold too early". radio. That in itself should be hard evidence and encouraging for a pro "keep a long term parcel" and don't always sell the whole lot and attempt to re enter with the whole lot.
