Agreed Barra. The endless negativity about coal is amazing. Analysts falling over themselves to be more negative than the rest. Reminds me of the universal conclusion a few years back that the US was finished as an economic superpower/that Japan was going to rule the world/that rare earths would be thousands of dollars a kg or any of the other orthodoxies. It's all just BS groupthink. All they need ask themselves is what other sources of energy are going to fuel the vast future energy requirements. But if you're an analyst right now you're safer saying it's all over for coal rather than sticking your neck out and looking like a kook. Apologies for the ramble. Just done an all-nighter. RES will be ok - we just need time for the sentiment to shift.
