I feel your pain buddy, but all is not lost.
About 12 years ago when I started share investing I bought into a junior gold / nickel exploration company (MCR). The share price tanked from 10c or so down to 3c after September 11 and the First Gulf War (the company had a tenement in Pakistan).....I had practically written off that investment.
A few years later the SP slowly ticked up and up and then hit $5+ at its peak (they also spun off another company, TCC and started paying dividends). Admittedly the SP has been hammered since the GFC...
Clearly, MLS has had its challenges, but they are not insurmountable. And it may one day be the jewel in your share portfolio.
