Never thought I would be thankful to Albo - to get mixed up in the intractable nature of indigenous politics would have been the death nell of BOE. Such a pity that Labor and the Mirarr Gundjehmi clan have hangups over such a profitable resource but I guess economic reality takes second place to 60 thousand year Aboriginal culture (NOT the world's oldest the San people of Nambia/Botswana are far older) which has seen constant waves of immigration since it's inception (the dingo was introduced from Indian wild dogs 4000 years ago and immigration/interaction from Sulawase was common prior to European settlement. I guess we will now have to make more of the Mirarr Gundjehmi clan "rangers" in the park or "artists" producing genuine indigenous "dot" paintings that was introduced by a European Art teacher in 1971 in Papunya (NT) (see HERE). I guess the tax payer will foot the bill to retain them in poverty as a museum piece - IMO about time they faced "economic reality".
