"I would hope so, but we'll need a few more Norman's to come out of the woodwork to reach the price tag"

Indeed, but as you say - he's well connected - from an article in the AFR .......“Obviously Bill is extremely well connected, so the foundation was fortunate in having somewhat of a head start with accessing strong corporate networks around Australia" The GBR Foundation is also mentioned in that article.

Another of his wealthy connections is Jim Wakim, who is also on the Board of Bill Moss's FSHD Global Research Foundation. Interestingly, Wakim ..... "was founding manager of and then ultimately CEO/MD of the Arab Bank Australia Limited, culminating most recently as CEO/MD of Bank of Sydney Limited"

Could that explain the "Oman" reference?

During the year, Arab Bank continued to carry out its vision for development across the region through its active participation in financing vital infrastructure, intra-regional trade and renewable energy projects. BTW, he recently became a director of ASX listed NET - currently restructuring and re capitalizing. Haven't looked into NET, but one wonders why Wakim is getting involved. Might be worth digging into or putting on a watchlist?

Moss's strongest connection is of course Macquarie Bank - from a recent announcement - Macquarie-led consortium to acquire the Green Investment Bank

Macquarie is committed to the Green Investment Bank’s newly established target of £3 billion of new investment in green energy projects over the next three years, either directly or by arranging capital from other investors. Subject to the availability of suitable opportunities, anticipated investments will span energy efficiency, bioenergy, energy from waste, onshore and offshore wind, solar and tidal energy and energy storage. The Green Investment Bank will target investments in both equity and debt and at all project stages including development, construction and operation.

Just some initial quick research - so please dig deeper yourselves - I make no recommendations/inferences, rather just sharing some info I've looked at.
