One of the biggest problems that occurred on the politics thread prior to the guidelines being brought into play (and a major reason for the need of guidelines) was the rancour and bitterness shown during 'discussion' of the Hicks case.
The Hicks story does not meet the simple guideline for this forum i.e it is not a matter ".. of a political nature having significant effect particularly upon, but not necessarily limited to, Australia:".
