The results were good, the stuff works, it kills staph, and is safe. As stated previously trial participants were not given chlorhexidine baths like other bactroban/mupiricin trials. That means there was a higher chance of recolonisation from parts of the body where staph was still active.
Also, there were not enough participants with MRSA to include it in the results. The 2b trial will sample a larger group.
