I tend to agree with you. This data will need to be spot on, no mistakes, and clearly presented. The execs will definitely be taking their time putting it all together. There really isn't a rush. If a deal is the short term goal then these reports are critical, even though big pharma often get a more detailed version anyway.
The spanner in the works for me was MC taking leave. My announcement timeline was centred around him, and the upcoming conference on 12 Aug - next week. I anticipated an announcement early next week leading into the conference. This may still happen, however I don't think it'll be the significant announcement we are all wanting - BTX 1503.
When the data comes out I don't think it'll be how any of us expected. We'll either see the mother of all reports released containing a stack of data from the Psoriasis (BTX 1308) & Acne (BTX 1503) combined OR they will use a series of announcements to build the share price over a week or two. Anyones guess.
I think we'll also start to see a run of announcements about the antimicrobial trials;
I agree also NZ and feel that BOT are doing a good job with the marketing. Of course, we always want more. But this would be challenging when you can't exactly talk about a lot of it yet. As soon as they have announced all the data and can start promoting it, I think we'll start seeing regular announcements centred around 'success stories'. This will be the visual stuff that the market loves and hopefully there's lots of it.
The guys will (potentially) be very busy getting phase 3 trials designed and structured to maximise outcomes. Let's not also forget that BOT wants these products FDA approved. I don't know a lot about the fast tracking that the FDA does offer, and whether BOT would qualify, but we can't rule something coming out of left field in this department also. You never know!
Another de-risking signal that I'm waiting for is when Vince and other key staff start buying options.
