On 31st July the Journal of Dermatology published a targeted literature review. The review found 13.95% of Japanese have HH vs 4.8% of US population. They also found 51% of Americans seek treatment vs 9.5% of Japanese seek treatment (I’ve added a chart directly from the article). When you calculate it, America has 5 times more patients seeking treatment compared to Japan.
