Makes sense, query like silver on a catheter... but how often are antibugs used prophylactically and according to antimicrobial guidelines? Not many examples spring to mind. Proph use on a picc seems like a recipe for eventual resistance to me.
is there data that backs up the prophylactic use or is this a gut feel?
