The UQ data showed no MRSA resistance development hence prophylactic potential. Clearly the resistance development part would need to be fully investigated. Not my speculation, it comes from Bot information around this product and was specific to picc as they could eliminate/reduce the potential for catheter induced infection which was given as a market to pursue and hence development incentive.
