depending on how much you're into conspiracy theory's - so Eli Lily which owned qbrexa and SB was/is going biggest competition - In 2018 Brickell changed its ceo to Robert brown just after the phase 2 results were approved and very successful. Robert came from Lily were he was a top executive. Brickell went downhill from then onwards and money was getting burned. hence why they ended up going under. but it was a good way to potentially delay your competition from succeeding or controlling the timing for them to succeed. Again these biotech companies are all so corrupt you have no idea what's happening and are all planning 10 years plus in advance. plenty of them have bought competing drugs and then just shelved the product over the years or destroyed them.

now qbrexa isn't a class leading product and SB should be, it will be interesting to see if Lily have interest in SB. they liked qbrexa enough to buy it initially.

abbvie is another good candidate as they own the patents to botox. if patients decide not to use botox they can then sell patients SB or vice versa. whether patients use botox or sb they are winning.
