Yeah, wasn't pretty for PAA today - 19% retrace, on the back of a gentle retrace of 6 or 7c over the past couple of weeks. I've gone from holding a near 200% paper profit at the peak (45c), to today standing at a 69% profit. It's still outperforming BOT currently (30% v 42%) from when I swapped some BOT for PAA back in late January, but I'm also glad I topped my BOT back up with other funds in the 20-22c range earlier this month. It just goes to show how quickly a fickle stock market can turn. All this on a 'simple' announcement (at face value) that the CEO has resigned for personal reasons. Naturally, being the cynical shareholders that us humans are, many automatically think there's more to it than 'personal' reasons. Who knows - maybe time will tell.
About the only thing I learn out of it for BOT, or any other stock for that matter, is that stuff can happen - for no apparent reason! Never over-extend yourself!
