Americans pay less tax than Australians, but they pay crazy amounts for private health insurance, and that's why drugs are so expensive over there.
Don't think of it as the customer paying $1000 a bottle, think of it as insurers paying $1000 a bottle. That's why Botanix signing agreements with insurance companies is so important, because they are the ones agreeing to pay this crazy amount of money per bottle.
