Unfortunately can be around for a very long time depending on their motivation. They may just be simply off loading a large parcel of shares or they may be manipulating the share price down for accumulation or even for a cheap take over.
Personally I only see the sinister side of these bots and haw much damage they had done to stocks I have owned.
IGR is/was a good example it had been attacked by bots for maybe years..when the bots stopped a couple of months back the SP just continued to rise to where it is today.
The only advantage it gave me with IGR was I was able to buy at cheaper prices for longer so you can gain from them also it usually IMO it usually gives you an indication that someone with deep pockets is interested.
IMO
