I have been watching the open since the LuxInvest announcement...

I have been watching the open since the LuxInvest announcement and believe that there are bots at play who are front running the open trades. Here's what I have observed:

1) Prior to the open, there are bids at 0.002 which exceed the amount on the ask at 0.001. For example:

2) As new ask amounts come in, the bid amount increases. This could give one the impression that the opening trade will be at 0.002, fooling many a seller into believing that they might be able to get into the front of the sell queue at 0.002, when in fact the bots are intending to jump the queue at 0.001.

With about a minute to go:

Time 10:04:00
Bid.............................Ask
0.002 X 15,529,000......0.001 X 15,000,000

If this was the situation on the open, then the open would be 0.002, but suddenly, at the last second, just enough of the bid orders dissappear so that the price is :

Time 10:04:20
Bid.............................Ask
0.002 X 14,999,999......0.001 X 15,000,000

and the open is at 0.001 and 14,999,999 buyers jump the queue and get in at 0.001. (Actually, at the last second, some of the ask volume decreases as well, and I suspect they are doing the same thing on the other side).

If my conclusion is correct then I think the bots (programmers behind) are saying "if we can maniipulate the open, then we can get suckers to sell to us at 0.001 and then suckers to buy from us at 0.002 and be able to jump in front of the queue". If that is so, and I am not 100% sure, then the best thing for us to do, is not play the game, i.e. don't put orders in to buy at or above the ASK and don't put orders to sell at or below the BID, BEFORE THE MARKET FULLY OPENS. I am not saying don't put an order in, just don't put one in before the market to trade below/above the bid/ask. e.g. if the market is 0.001/0.002, don't put an order to sell at 0.001 or buy at 0.002, because all you will do is feed the bots. Starve them to death.

BTW, as I write, today's open was at 0.002 and the same thing happened, only in reverse to what I noted earlier (i.e. this time the ASK volume was greater, but then it fell away right before the open).
