I think the BOD will have been winking, nudging and saying no more for months with bland statements to brokers along the lines of:

We believe it is time to assess Botanix as an investment proposition.

and

We suggest that you study the analyses of the two broker's who have looked at Botanix in detail.

As one sage contributor has noted, brokers are quite adept at "getting their teeth into" companies requiring capital, but now such a feeding frenzy is unlikely even with help from the Motley Knave; this leaves directing the clients to companies with good prospects.

Also it may be that, as the beef armer implies, the sp trajectory has a lot of bounce in it so far. Thus a senior may have finally got out of bed, showered, powdered nose, maybe applied some bootleg SB, had some coffee, arrived at the office at maybe 1030 hrs, ordered more coffee, and decided to be briefed on BOT by one of the juniors.

Classical management by exception, and note that IMO BOT is just that - an exception.
