Often however, instos are driven by mandates, return expectations, and tighter guard rails, governed by rules very different to those of us with an open ended unconstrained time horizon.
my thinking …if that they are selling while I’m not, is it’s related to my tolerance for trump risk versus theirs. Many insto investors are not in a position to defend their investors taking this risk, especially losing money due to it. so when it appears and can’t be hedged, they exit. Forced to.
when they are fundamentally mandated to take company centric risk only and hedge out geopolitical risk, they may no longer be able to hold BOT regardless of ex trump fundamentals. So, if anything, they have been forced to exit trump risk, which unfortunate and we’ve seen the consequences.
Nevertheless, if all is resolved the rally will be immense.
