If I want $2 million dollars in stock because the results are awesome and I want exposure now, and there's $1 million dollars in free float available, then it's a crowded trade as there is no holder supplying an extra $1m in stock for me.
I'll be buying up to a price I deem worthy which is $1.5B cap, 75 cents, and still happily make +15% yield on EPS within my desired timeframe.
Who cares about SOI in this scenario?
