Comments on how the evil bots are doing something or other to drive a price up or down or keep it in place are so common on HC, it makes me wonder if I am missing some important piece of information on the subject.
According to Wikipedia, as of 2009, HFT firms accounted for 73% of all US equity trading volume.
Doesn't that mean that most volume is traded every day - assuming Australia has followed the trend?
Also, aren't there bot wranglers on either side of trades and so its just the same old price battle with different tools?
