I decided to put in a lowball offer to buy some IGE shares this morning. Instantly, as soon as I did that, a bot bid for 1/10 of a cent higher for only 20 shares appeared. Feeling a bit like a bot waltz, I dropped my offer by a cent. The bot 20 share bid, to keep in step with me dropped by the exact same amount instantly. The bourse is alive and well and infested by these pesky financial fleas... and the ASX has the nerve to say that algo trading assists in market liquidity! Psfffffffffft to that my friends. Bots the matter with our market?
