how do you know what objectives of people are on wo different stock? In daily trading barring a big news advent hour to hour changes are pretty random. If you believe what you say then you should be able to clearly state what the profit motive is for the people controlling the bots is. Could you do this and explain how what you see increases their profits? I am not saying there are no bots there defently is. But seldom are they evil like you say. They are just computer algorithms to optimize trades at certain points quickly. people that do want to take time to understand the markets and how they work fall back on blaming Bots Shorter's, Market makers and other things when something happens, they do not understand.
If you truly believe there is an evil empire controlling the market, why are you invested in it?
For instance both Morgan Stanly and Merril lynch have %rules that if any single customer has a buy or sell in within a certain % of market price they cannot do any trade in front of them. I know these two for a fact I believe it is true with all major brokers.
