Thanks for that info Abas - very interesting. There has been a bit of activity recently around Botswana & SA looking at the potential to use stranded coal assets for UCG, so I imagine Linc are interested in some of the deeper coal seams which are uneconomical for Conti to mine.
PW - need to clarify one thing - JSW India did not end up taking over CIC Energy - the deal fell through (owing to complications between JSW & Botswana govt). Latest news is that Vitol, who own a large stake in the Matola coal port in Mozambique have taken a 9.1% stake in CIC for $10m.
