Thanks for your questions - they are great - making me try and confirm facts!

In regard to proposed export routes....
See page 16 here - in NMR Presentation

---------------------
There are TWO proposed Routes
1.East - the Ponto Techobanine rail via Mozambique
2.West - Trans Kalahari rail via Namibia
---------------------
So bahar is right to mention Mozambique in its developing infrastructure. It i related to the EAST option to some degree at least.
However - yes, that route crosses partially thru Zimbabwe turf.
Would be more ideal to export via this route, if exports are to flow largely to India from East coast of Africa?
---------------------
However the WEST option only crosses Botswana county, and Namibia.
Less challenging in some ways - no doubt. And still with great ports, and access to India - though via a longer shipping route

Bit of (older) Trans Kalahari rail proposal detail here....

And link to Namibia info here (generic - but fairly broad content)

I think that it is interesting to note that the WEST route would not have to be fully completed for NMR to take advantage of the railway.
One would imagine that railway materials would be shipped in to one of the ports on the west coast of Namibia, and track building would start heading east from there?
This would mean the proposed tracks would reach NMR turf earlier than the northern districts - perhaps a commercial advantage for NMR - even over AFR and CIC.
It would not be to far a stretch to see the west parts of the railway opened for use - while the east and north are completed later (given that Moruple will be digging coal out largely for growing domestic power needs, and not so much export).
Just a scenario - of how it may play out (and of course the opposite effect would happen if the rail begins on the East coast in Mozambique).
Would certainly work out nice for NMR hopes/chances - being the first coal explorer in the southern districts (while explorer moratorium still hangs in place), sitting right by the tracks as it were.
