I was at the meeting and encouraged by the progress facilitated by the "group". Cheerleading is good, as is a positive outlook, but sometimes shareholder activism is what is needed.
I like your sense of caution regarding the deal before Christmas. I did not stay for post party drinks, but from what I heard in the meeting pre-Christmas was not the sense I had.
My expectation was possibly in February when Australia gets back from its break.
I would hate to see people become disheartened if a pre-Christmas deal doesn't happen. I think a February expectation is probably appropriate and if MT can deliver earlier, and over achieve, then a big pat on the back should be given.
