"About 29,000 clients paid fees to AMP after they had stopped receiving advice"
I have never been in a financial position to pay an institution for "advice" - but if I had been I would be expecting it to flow to me regularly and would query why I stopped receiving it. Perplexing to me.
Perhaps high net worth individuals who are just happy to see their FUM increase with AMP, or small time investors with little experience. Perhaps 29,000 clients with an average of $ 10,000 invested or 29,000 clients with millions invested (perhaps this will be clarified at the AGM)
Disclosure - I am both a customer and shareholder of AMP.
