the culmination of entering the ASX200 and a fairly dramatic fear and loathing event are both catalysts for significant increase in daily trading volume.
It will probably dissipate next week now that a number of SH will have sh*t the cot. Although that seemingly invites a whole new crew of speculators.
Myself I'm not perturbed by the volume - but I am by one of its drivers (SE). I'd imagine both STX BoD and Exco may be feeling a bit under pressure at the moment.
