Corp governance principles in this space are very overrated and I am a corp gov professional! That they are family means that they have to uphold the strictest appearance of independence in all aspects as there is always a presumption of bias.
Further, you go through professional life and you meet people, the good ones, hopefully you get to work with again... better than having an indy thrust upon you.
Its like having Swan as treasurer, wouldn't I rather someone with the background rather than a lifelong public servant?
As for LRS, nice crossramp ;) I sat through the preso a couple of times, yeah good luck with that.
