I will have a look at it again, but I think your broker mates are wrong. Remember that the loan was issued prior to the takeover offer, and as such had conditions attached to it that were not specific to the takeover. It would be horrible business of FML's behalf to attach a condition such as that if they had even remotely thought of taking them over...pretty obvious they had that intention from the onset in my book.
