Doesn't it just s@$&t you to tears. It's a hard education in investing with incomplete information. Even if they find an anomaly with the trial results it doesn't result in a return to maybe half the share price as it was before the announcement. You can't sell because the price is ludicrously low compared to you're own buy in. Because the unknowns continue (expenditure on expected trial success) we don't know the bottom line. As a shareholder this is the most frustrating and repugnant aspect of dealing with an arms length distance. I feel for those who have invested more heavily than I. I seriously considered buying more shares in the lead up to the results but I thought I was happy with my position. How I wish I sold and bought some more boring blue chip stock! Smarter second time round.
