BHP needs to make higher waves from here and is not out of the ('bear') woods till we see the stock close strongly above $25.85 (which is when I would consider purchase).
However, a definitive close below $24 would be very bearish and could be the prelude to heavier fall that could see the stock fall away to the $16.50 support zone.
BHP bears watching closely - look before you leap is a good maxim here.
