The AUD according to an article in saturday's Age yesterday (business section) is forecast to progressively fall to 77 cents by early next year - due to our interest rate cutiing cycle.
So even if gold falls to $700/oz (that's too extreme in my opinion by the way) - no big deal in $Aus terms. .. still around Aus$900/oz plus.
so low cost producers should still be raking it in.
