Hi, here's my thoughts
Overall
Was good to get along for an update of sorts after pretty well being in the dark for so long.
The large attendance underlined shareholder's desire to be kept up to date, and frankly to suggest they were surprised at the turnout is a bit odd considering recent events.
Different holder groups will take different things out of it depending on their reasons for holding etc.
However I did feel it was probably the wrong mix of presenters and topics for the current interests of holders.
Majority would have been there to get some hard facts and straight answers on the financial/revenue front and developments over recent months.
The presentations on trials, SibEX and the documentary provided some depth and background to those who are new investors and/or those who are concerned about the Solagran "story" being a bit 'flakey', but I'm not sure that was the audience.
No doubt timing/availability conspired but nett result is I think the key messages that needed to get delivered were diluted somewhat.
positives
Confirmation at this point that revenues are very close and that demand is still considered sufficient to be advancing plans for new facilities. Sales can't come soon enough though.
Dr Dee spoke concisely and whilst provided some 'only' anecdotal cases the fact that they seem to have stimulated wider interest in NZ to proceed to a supply agreement is significant because it gives both some non-Russian confirmation of efficacy and that is backed up with preparedness to pay the sort of money were have been assured the product is worth. (Volumes I expect there to be minimal but good to see nonetheless)
Was also mentioned they are actively pursuing other non-Russian sales prospects
Peter S provided most of the nuts and bolts commentary on corporate and financial matters. I'll call it a positive that some of the "blue sky" seems to have been watered down by more of a reality check in terms of what to expect. We just need to have these lower expectations delivered on!!
Continued R&D work on future products and usages highlights that the company really is looking to the future and once the crawling stage is over and we are ready to walk, SLA should be taking some big strides.
negatives
I think the company missed the chance to put its best foot forward last night.
Would have been nice to have Denis, Peter & (say) Dr Dee as the only speakers.
There was a need for a clear communication of where we are and where we are going and while such information was included, it was diluted somewhat.
I hope Denis at least follows up with a BRR to re-emphasise the messages I'm sure they know they could have conveyed better.
I was a bit surprised by the low production volumes. Maybe it could have been made clearer before how long full production might take to get to?
Talk of dilution is never good news.
I didn't get to ask about the Solana deal last night but I'd like it clarified how that helps us
Whatever "good" aspects there are to the deal with the scientists should be made known ASAP. (even just conceptually)
I don't see the point of an SPP now. Should have done one when ANZ still had shares and used SPP money to buy them instead of loading up the traders.
