I'm surprised this news hasn't resulted in a blip of the share price! The US supreme court has unanimously ruled that it has no jurisdiction over cases involving non-US companies occurring in overseas jurisdictions. Specifically for the case involving Shell allegedly backing human rights abuses in Nigeria (and a very thin case it was to start with!!!), but by extension ruling the case bought against Rio in Bougainville also cannot stand and is without legal basis in the US. This is a HUGE monkey off Rio's back regarding Panguna!
