BREAKING NEWS:
Bougainville Copper Limited's appeal against the decision to join Panguna Minerals Limited (formally Central Me'ekamui Exploration Limited) to the Judicial Review Proceedings was dismissed today by Mr Justice Dingake in the PNG Supreme Court, with costs.
The Supreme Court was not satisfied that there was a manifest error in the judgement of the National Court to allow PML to join the Judicial Review Proceedings and that BCL's substantive rights were not affected.
BCL has sued the ABG and its officers in the ABG Mining Department as well as Minister Raymond Masono, seeking the Judicial Review of the decision of the ABG Executive Council not to extend its Exploration Licence at Panguna, in January 2017.
The matter will now proceed in the National Court.
Bougainville Copper Limited's appeal dismissed with costs today.
