Just bought into NKP. First time.
I am a long term investor and willing to hold over 2-3 year period.
With the PGM ounces NKP is looking at, this is a prospect that surpasses the value one could see in AQP some 12 years ago when it was at the early stages and it has risen much more than 10 times before the GFC hit.
Considering Xstrata were prepared to bid for Anglo/Lonmin to get large scale PGM exposure, I cannot really see that they will give up NKP. 500,000 oz per annum for 40 years plus is huge and Xstrata have little prospect of getting this without having to offer significant premiums to buy out existing producers. Also if Xstrata give up I can see the likes of China, Japan and even India very interested to get into this.
The upside over the long term is huge and the share price could move up 5 times or more over the next years through to first production.
