If Xstrata pull out, I would think that Anglo American would consider stepping in. They have close to a 80% share in Anglo Platinum, the current biggest platinum producer (2.4 million oz pa). Anglo Platinum also mines the Bushveld Igneous Complex, so would have an excellent understanding of Nkwe's tenements.
