Hi Whiskey, if the bourbon is beside the rig then it will be transferring brine to the rig, the vessel will be facing the opposite way to the rig so the aft of the vessel is facing the sea swell, the support vessels maintain station better when they can take the swell on their aft forequarters..... and they will connect themselves to the rig via a 50 mtr floating transfer hose to deliver product to the rig.

Once flaring starts the support vessels will move away from the rig and maintain a flare watch station keeping / fire fighting position , however all the rig cooling is done from the Athena itself. It has a network of sprinklers and deluge nozzles all around the flaring booms and superstructure of the rig for cooling purposes....

I don't believe flaring has started yet, but it won't be long I recon. ...

If you say the bourbon is glued to the side of the rig, then look to it pulling away first before any flare testing can begin...
    That's my take anyway....

    Cheers JPG
