I reckon you're pretty correct there Danube about Bhushan probably thinking "oh well we've got a pretty decent stake in Bowen". Although I dont see this as a negative- we aren't talking 50%+ like CCC in RCI.
Isn't Bhushan having a vested interest in BWN a good thing? I'd have thought so- i mean look at the coal companies being invested in by the koreans etc. COK for one. POSCO own 20%.
Today's announcements is pretty solid and to me gives provides some confidence that we may see BWN chase another opportunity in the near future. Heaps of M&A's are going to happen in aussie coal over the next year so time might be an issue. Soon the better im sure we'd all like to see.
Hopefully Bhushan do waive their clause regarding the RCI deal and come Nov 10 buy more shares in BWN. This would be a massive boast and go along way to securing BWN's future imo. A 10-20% share (i think they have 8%ish now?) is surely nothing but a good thing. Who knows BWN might just be the vehicle Bhushan use to seek out the other commodities they've stated they want. 10% in an iron ore mine- now wouldn't that me nice?
