The road to winning the federal election has been made less onerous by the special madness of the LP in August last year. A PM was replaced by pure idealogy and idiocy. THe LNP was slowly cathing the ALP 51-49 in the polls and were in the birth pains of the NEG. This composite Climate Change Energy policy was receiving business acclaim and had passed the LNP caucus twice with resounding majorities. But it was idealogically and idiotically unacceptable to Mr Abbott and the Murdoch Mouthpieces. There was one single reason, COAL. Mr Turnbull would not guanantee a perpetual place for coal in our energy mix. Instead the NEG invites all energy sources (including coal). The source is chosen on its cost to taxpayers. This is economics and engineering. THe coal lobby brings COAL into the COALition. It is pure idealogy and idiocy, The ALP is promising to base their Climate Change Energy policy on the NEG. So going into this election the LNP and Greens are the parties of idealogy.
