Because the idiots who thought that they were going to save the Planet by buying an EV have already bought them. The rest of us who are a lot more intelligent won't! So therefore, there will be a glut of EV's that can't be sold!!! And that is what is happening around the world at this moment. The EV market has collapsed! A one year old EV with 16,000 km on the clock is selling for less than 30 and in some cases 50% below their retail price. You can't give them away. Plus it's getting to the stage that when the 5 year warranty runs out on an EV, car retailers won't allow you to trade them in. Most vehicles are the worst investment that anyone can make but with an EV, it's a complete financial disaster! Meaning that a 'Green idiot and their money are soon parted'!!!
