the increase in availability of EVs in Aus has driven the prices down and will continue to do so. Aus pollies have caused the prices of EVs to be higher than they needed to be. they didn't want EVs in Aus so made it as difficult as they could.
also new battery tech/formulations will drive down wholesale cost. the removal of inhibitory measures, the legacy of Morrison, will soon reduce the retail prices. then the retailers will try to keep prices elevated as long as they can as they won't be making more $$$ from ICE servicing. its been this factor that enabled lower retail prices and why the longer warranty terms.
but its the battery tech that will bring down the cost of EVs more than anything else.
